We don't recommend these filters be used on acidic water as it could react with the KDF Media in this filter.

KDF water filtration media is a high-purity alloy of both copper and zinc and is used along with Granulated Activated Carbon to maximise the filters efficiency.
Small particles of carbon called carbon "fines" are present in a new GAC filter and should be generously flushed when first installed to wash away the carbon fines.
